Goswick junior member Archie Cook, sidelinedearlier in the season with a forearm injury, has been making up for lost timein recent weeks.
The talented junior won the Faldo Junior Tourevent played at Conwy Golf Club in Wales 14th-15th August.That qualified him for a spot in the Faldo Junior Tour Grand Finale to beplayed in the UAE in November.
Then, a week later, he backed that up with arunner-up finish in the U16 section of the Junior Tour Scotland event at RoyalMussellburgh Golf Club.
And then one week after that, he captured theU16 title in the North of England Amateur Strokeplay Championships at PannalGolf Club. In that one, he posted four scores at par or better, including aclosing 4-under 68, to edge out Harry Cox of Welwyn by one shot.
Archie is currently in Italy competing withthe Scottish national junior team before resuming his studies at MerchistonCastle School in Edinburgh. You can learn more about his golfing journey byclicking here.
